Large-scale UniFi file storage in a seven-bay rack platform

The Ubiquiti UNAS-Pro brings centralised file storage, personal and shared drives, encryption, snapshots, share links and backup into a steel 2U chassis. UniFi Drive supports NFS and SMB, multiple RAID groups, hot spare operation, remote and cloud backup targets, and Time Machine backup.

Seven hot-swap drive bays

Seven 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch HDD/SSD bays provide the storage foundation for the rack system.

10G SFP+ networking

A 10G/1G SFP+ port supports high-throughput links, with a separate 1GbE RJ-45 port.

RAID and hot spare

RAID 5, RAID 6 and RAID 10, multiple RAID groups and hot spare support are listed in UniFi Drive.

Protected file services

Personal and shared drives, file encryption, snapshots and share links are current supported features.

Flexible backup targets

Back up to another UNAS, a CIFS/SMB server or supported cloud services, and use Time Machine.

Power redundancy input

The internal AC supply is complemented by a USP-RPS DC input for supported power-redundancy deployment.

Who is the Ubiquiti UNAS-Pro UniFi NAS best for?

A strong choice for

  • UniFi-managed business file storage
  • Seven-drive rack deployments
  • 10G-connected workgroups
  • Encrypted shared drives and snapshots
  • On-site and cloud backup workflows

Consider another model if you need

  • You need more than seven drive bays
  • Your rack depth is outside the specified 650–1,000 mm post range
  • You require an RJ-45 10GbE connection rather than SFP+
  • Your selected drives are not on Ubiquiti's qualified list
